Ding Xia is the President of the Fashion Business Unit of JD.com, the e-commerce giant that has become China’s largest retailer. She also serces as a Vice President of the JD.
As head of JD’s fastest growing fashion units, Ms. Ding has full P&L responsibility of all fashion categories including Apparel/Shoes, Sports, Luxury, Bag/Watches and Accessories. She leads a team of 1000+ perople to drive business growth through building partnership with global & local brands, formulating merchandising strategies on category mix and fashion selections as well as working with designers / fashion editors to ensure JD.com to become the most preferred shopping destination for Chinese consumers to shop fashion goods.
Before joining JD in early 2017, she was the Vice President of Retail Solution at Nielsen, where she had responsibility for more than 700 online and offline retail accounts, including hypermarkets chain, specialty stores and restaurants. In that role, she established strategic partnership with global retailers and retail associations and offered consulting services and solutions to improve retailers’ insights to China shppers and build its operation excellence.
Prior to join Nielsen, she worked at Hanes Brands Inc. for 20 years in both US and China, serving as corporate VP and General Manager of Hanes China, where she led the launch and growth of Hanes and Champion brands in China market.
Ms. Ding is a frequent speaker for various forum / conference on topics of e-Commerce, Fashion and Retailing.
